For the second time Berlin Lacht will bring its joy to the Alexanderplatz. This year the festival takes place from July the 9th till july the 12th.
The festival includes 4 days of street art, street culture and a lot of spectacular and amazing street theatre. There will be 4 different stages and over 200 artist from 20 different nationalities.
Except from clowns and acrobats there´ll also be fire-artists, musicians, an interactive child programm and several installations.
During the summer months this festival moves throughout the city, to various venues.

3.The Mauerpark Fleahmarket
Sunday is fleamarket day. Close to the hostel (500 m) you find the Arkonaplatz Fleamarket and the famous Mauerpark fleamarket. You don´t want to buy something – no problem you first of all go there to see all kind of urban subjects with hangover and even sober ones. Berliners go there – you should as well.
4. Organic Market Kollwitplatz
On a late Saturday morning you should go to where the locals go – the farmer´s market on Kollwitzplatz – 200 Meters from EastSeven. Fresh organic vegetables, varieties of sausages and a lot more of savoir vivre. By your food of the season there, go back to the hostel and prepare it in our fancy self catering kitchen.
5. Viktoriapark Kreuzberg Viktoriapark is one of Berlin’s oldest and prettiest parks and offers a great view from the top of Kreuzberg. Have a delicious and cheap vegetarian lunch at Seerose (Mehringdamm 47) and then have a coffee or some ice cream at one of the plenty cafes in Bergmannstraße. Kreuzberg/Viktoriapark @ U-Mehringdamm.

A shopping guide for the coolest shops around the EastSeven Berlin Hostel
We have made a selection of some really amazing shops close by the EastSeven Hostel. In the beautiful kastanienallee there are lots of cool shops. Some with designer clothes, vintage furniture, souvenirs etc.etc. Go there for a stroll! As an EastSeven guest you can get amazing discounts at some of these shops.
Therefore you should take the Local Disount Card (ask for it at the reception) with you, and explore the neighbourhood by shopping!

1.Glücklich am Park
They do not only sell beautiful clothes, dark sunglasses & toys…………they even have ice cream, enjoy it on there lovely terrace in the Kastanienallee.
2.O3-shop
They sell from earings, to postcards, from souvenirs to unique designed clothes…anything you can imagine. All made by different Designers. The shop has a gallery, a small factory, a seminar room and a lovely garden.
It´s really worthwhile taking a closer look inside this cosy shop in the Oderbergerstrasse.
3.Stiefelkombinat
This is one of the coolest vintage-shops in Berlin. They sell over thousands of secondhand shoes and have an exclusive selection of furniture & clothes from the 40´s till the 80´s.

This year it’s already the third European Club Night in a row! 20 Bands and 100 Djs from all over Europe come to play at 30 different clubs in Berlin. Its an unique happening that allows us to experience different European Sounds from upcoming artists, all in one amazing club night.

We have a new cook. Florian will make “pasta with vegetables” nex monday 20:00. Don´t miss it. Florian is a real Berliner and at the moment working on a new start in life. Cooking is his passion and sharing the food with friends a kind of heaven on earth. Do all to have a bed on monday at EastSeven Berlin Hostel. Of course the food is free, but you should register till 15:00.

Every Monday EastSeven Berlin Hostel cooks a free meal for you. The food is simple, but good (and for free), the atmosphere is friendly and it is good start for a nice evening, maybe ending in Berlin nightlife.

Free pasta on Monday is a nice get-together for our hostel-guests to meet other travelers, and share a meal together.
Everybody can join the cooking. Some guests bring their own ingredients and mix it with the food that’s supplied by the EastSeven staff. So there´s enough to eat, drink, and laugh…
If you feel like going out after some beers – the hostel is in the middle of where the party is. Clubs and bars are plenty in our neighbourhood.
