Pierre testing the beds

Pierre testing the beds

It´s been already a couple of months since Leonie came up with the fantastic idea of making a video about the EastSeven Hostel staff, inspired on the ´Amelie Intro`.
I found the idea magnificent and that´s when we started brainstorming together! The intro of Amelie is where all characters are being introduced, showing the likes and don´t likes that are typical for them.

At that moment the EastSeven Berlin Hostel counted 12  staff members, including the 2 managers of the hostel. So for each character we were imagining what he or she desires or dislikes the most. Some of our staff members came with their own idea. For instance Caroline, who really really enjoys making coffee and she just loves the smell of our Italian coffee beans!! Or Lena, who in real life really is allergic to the sound of chalk on a black board. In the end, all of us show something really personal, although it still only is a small feature of our characters. It does give the viewer an impression on who the individual staff members of the EastSeven Hostel are.
Our special thanks goes out to BRM for making the music and to Frank Dukowski for the voice-over, thank you guys!!!

So if you are coming to Berlin, and if you are still looking for a nice and friendly, relaxed hostel in a great location…you are more than welcome to check in at the EastSeven Berlin Hostel!!

Here is the video, have a look!!

Cold war bunker

Cold war bunker

Visit the Berlin Underworlds!
Are you interested in going beyond the popular touristic sights and explore a bit more of Berlins history?

Then why not go on a bunker tour!
There are a view different bunker tours, in english, german and also in spanish.
This is really something exceptional and very interesting! A must do!
At Berlin Underworlds you can experience the history of Berlin from an unconventional perspective! Since 1997, the Berlin Underworlds Association has been offering regular tours into some of the most important underground structures in the city. Although the majority of their tours are in or near the Gesundbrunnen station in the north of Berlin, they Berlin Underground Company also offers tours in several other subterranean complexes that are otherwise not publicly accessible. The Tours run all through the year and from April through October there are even one or more tours a day you can attend!
Meeting point is at the southern entrance of the U8 subway station at Gesundbrunnen BHF (exit direction to Humboldthain Park, Brunnenstraße). Here is also the ticket office and here you can find information leaflets aswell.
For more detailed information on one of the 9 tours please take a look at the Berliner Unterwelten Homepage.

If you are interested in discovering berlin in a more non touristic way  you can also check our staff recommendations. Here you can read what the eastseven staff members are up to this weekend.

….an insight in feedback from EastSeven Berlin Hostel Guests

In the EastSeven Berlin Guestbook all EastSeven Guests get a chance to write something down about how do like (or didn´t like) the EastSeven Berlin Hostel. The Guetsbook is always lying at the reception and waiting for some nice handwriting from travellers all over the world. Hereby I also like to thank all the friendly backpackers for leaving such cool messages in the book.

Down below some cool messages directly copied from the EastSeven Guestbook, enjoy reading it and hope to see you soon again in Berlin.
