New EastSeven Berlin Hostel VIDEO

Pierre testing the beds

Pierre testing the beds

ONLINE NOW!!!

It´s been already a couple of months since Leonie came up with the fantastic idea of making a video about the EastSeven Hostel staff, inspired on the ´Amelie Intro`.
I found the idea magnificent and that´s when we started brainstorming together! The intro of Amelie is where all characters are being introduced, showing the likes and don´t likes that are typical for them.

At that moment the EastSeven Berlin Hostel counted 12  staff members, including the 2 managers of the hostel. So for each character we were imagining what he or she desires or dislikes the most. Some of our staff members came with their own idea. For instance Caroline, who really really enjoys making coffee and she just loves the smell of our Italian coffee beans!! Or Lena, who in real life really is allergic to the sound of chalk on a black board. In the end, all of us show something really personal, although it still only is a small feature of our characters. It does give the viewer an impression on who the individual staff members of the EastSeven Hostel are.
Our special thanks goes out to BRM for making the music and to Frank Dukowski for the voice-over, thank you guys!!!

So if you are coming to Berlin, and if you are still looking for a nice and friendly, relaxed hostel in a great location…you are more than welcome to check in at the EastSeven Berlin Hostel!!

Here is the video, have a look!!

What to do in Berlin this weekend?

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

Party in Berlin

Party in Berlin

No plans for the weekend? We have selected some cool events and things to do for the weekend!

On Friday during the day:

1 THE BERLIN WALL MEMORIAL: GEDENKSTäTTE BERLINER MAUER

The Documentation Centre known as Dokumentationszentrum Berliner Mauer is one of three integral elements which together make up the Gedenkstatte Berliner Mauer – Berlin Wall Monument at Bernauer Strasse – combining a stretch of the former Berlin Wall, the Kapelle der Versöhnung (Reconciliation Chapel) and, across the road, the Documentation Centre itself.

This is an important source of information and an original documentary source/archive devoted to the history of the Berlin Wall. A multimedia presentation draws on the local historical experience at Bernauer Strasse, exploring varied aspects of the political background and historical detail surrounding one of the most poignant and significant events of the Cold War.

The street’s unique position cut into two sides by the Wall with East Berlin buildings on one side and a pavement/sidewalk on the side of West Berlin evoked the madness of the concrete Wall dividing the city.

Information panels are in German and English.

Address:
Bernauer Str. 111
13355 Berlin

Admission free!!!

15mins walk from East Seven

On Friday night:

predilections of the respective DJs and the visitors interfere Indie
and punk, Grunge and alternative, Britpop and Heavy Metal, progressive
and Glam, freak’s beat and crossover, etc. (Wikipedia lists approx.
200 subspecies of the “rock”, so here no claim to completeness!). But

Tours of the prison are usually led by former inmates, who provide first-hand details on prison conditions and the interrogation methods employed by the GDR’s Ministry of State Security (MfS).

It is only possible to view the extensive prison complex on a official guided tour as Visitors require detailed guidance in order to understand the various sections of the prison.
