Summer Berlin

Summer Berlin

…finally summer is here

Summer in Berlin is great, there are a lot of cool beach bars to hang out during the day and night time…

EastSeven´s TOP 5:

1. Bar 25
the best open air club in town. great dj´s playing great electronic tunes…enjoy music coktails and more with a perfect view over the river spree
2. Kiki Blofeld
amazingly cool open air bar with an indoor club. Opens daily at 2pm
Great reggea parties!
An important element of the YAAM is the decoration and the artistic development – inspired by Jim Avignon, who initially influenced the visual appearance enourmously.
This setting offers painters, sprayers, photographers and
others a chance to present their work to a broad audience.
fettes Bild since 04, at the road.. !very long picture!
4.Badeschiff & Hoppetosse
enjoy a beach feeling, cool down in one of the coolest pools in town, floathing on the river spree! all the cool people come here!
5. Deck 5
rooftop beachbar….a bit difficult to find, that´s why its still a bit of a secret spot, which is cool. Go to the Schönhauser Arcaden shopping mall. Take the elevator to the 5th floor…and there you´ll have it: sun coktails and a great view…

On friday the 15th:
1.Go for a stroll along the kastanienallee for shopping, coffee drinking and

more shopping =). (don´t forget to bring the EastSeven shopping Discount Card).

Then if you´re getting hungry drop by for lunch at the Fat Ass Pizza at Oderbergerstr. 23.

They make excellent pizza (new york style) and with the Local disocunt Card you get 15% discount on consumption.

yammie yammie!!!

2.After that visit the Kulturbrauerei. This friday at Kesselhaus there´s a nice band called SARA TAVARES playing some amazing AFRO POP.
This event starts at 21h00.
3.End your night at Tresor to experience an amazing clubnight at one of the most popular clubs in Berlin
This friday evening a colorful heap of sound tinkerers have been gathered together, for one evening long stretching the boundries between techno, electro-punk and house: as co-founder of Scape, Barbara Preisinger has always had an ear open for innovative dub and hip hop. Her house and techno sets therefore always provide an element of surprise. The turntables on the Globus Floor are shared this time with Stuff and Hintergrundrauschen, flanked by a live set from hippie offspring Emanuel Eisbrenner who, in the 90’s as trance globetrotter later transformed as techno developer with experience on dancefloors from Mumbai to Berlin. The Tresor Floor joins in the ecstatic welcome for two very special guests: the freaky, funky BPitch and Boysnoize Berlin buddy Housemeister with his quirky and explosive rave history; and the former Brighton No-Future posse member turned Barcelona world-class techno DJ Dave Tarrida, Tresor Records recording artist and bass-rocker of the highest class who kicks it well with rumbling, dark bass-lines that push the walls apart. This is a Friday evening of extreme dancing full of experimental value – à la Tresor.

On saturday the 16th:
1.On a late Saturday morning you should go to where the locals go – the farmer´s market on Kollwitzplatz – 200 Meters from EastSeven. Fresh organic vegetables, varieties of sausages and a lot more of savoir vivre. By your food of the season there, go back to the hostel and prepare it in our fancy self catering kitchen.

2. After that visit the DESIGNMAI. An international design festival held annually, boasting 100 events, exhibitions, workshops, presentations, discussions and talks it serves as a platform for Berlin’s design scene and international stars. Berlin becomes the barometer of the most innovative design trends.

3.End your night at Magnet club for some nice live music. Tonight there are three bands: THE Dø, playing indie-pop, MIKROBOY, indie-pop, and DATAROCK,electro-punk. After that there´s a long dance night with several cool Berlin DJ´s.

On sunday the 17th:
1. Close to the hostel (500 m)you find the Arkonaplatz Fleamarket and the famous Mauerpark fleamarket. You don´t want to buy something – no problem you first of all go there to see all kind of urban subjects with hangover and even sober ones. Berliners go there – you should as well
2.Shopping makes hungry. Sunday is brunchday. Go to  “CAFE MORGENLAND” for an excellent all you can eat brunch!
3.End your night at HOPPETOSSE, a boat on the river Spree, for a really cool Reggea party.
