DMY – International Design Festival
- June 1 – 5
DMY Berlin is a contemporary design platform founded in 2003. It developed from a
visionary nucleus of leading creative thinkers from the Berlin design scene, whose
expertise lay in the recognition and transformation of current as well as coming
trends in culture and design.
The objective from the beginning until today is to bring together the powerful
potential of contemporary design; to give it a space and setting and to expose it to a
wide array of audience. At the same time the industry and economy are given the
opportunity to get in contact with innovative developers and designers and
therefore make use of the developed synergies.

Carneval of Cultures- June 10th -June 13th
Just as every other year, Berlin is going to proudly present the Carnival of Cultures,
which will take place between June 10th and June 13th in 2011, with a four-day
street-festival, the Parade (13th of June) and various parties throughout the whole
city.

Fete de la Musique-21st of June
to celbrate the summer and the music. There are live performances throughout the city, most of them outdoors. This will be a night you won´t easily forget. It´s gonna be amazing!!! Christopher Street Day-25th of June
The Berliner CSD will be 33 on 25th June 2011. Thirty-three years in which the
Community has been developing its diversity and its political aims. But
discrimination towards gays, lesbians, transgenders and bisexuals still exists. A
proud number of 500,000 people went onto the streets last year. The event as the
biggest gay-lesbian “holiday” will this year once again be an appropriate platform to
add the right weight to long overdue demands.

Long night of the museums- 27th of August
On almost 400 square kilometres – between Glienicke Palace, the Museum at the
Waterplant Friedrichshagen and the Museum of Local History Reinickendorf – more
than 100 museums and cultural institutions are giving access to their exhibitions,
collections and art objects throughout the night, enriched by a variety of events.
There will also be concerts, readings, theatricals and much more.

Popkomm- 7-9 September
As an international platform for the music and entertainment industry Popkomm
attracts thousands of trade visitors from all over the world. The integrated concept
of this event makes it unique. Popkomm is the only industry meeting place in the
world that combines a trade show with a convention and a festival. Consequently
Popkomm is a major attraction not only for its core business of music but also
brings the representatives of other sectors such as concerts, the movies, mobile
entertainment, fashion and advertising to the exhibition halls in Berlin.

Art Forum Berlin- 19th of  September- 2nd of October
The 16th ART FORUM BERLIN – The International Fair for Contemporary Art – will
take place at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from September 29th to October 2nd
2011. Early in the autumn season, over 120 galleries from more than 25 countries
showcase the works of established artists and newcomers in Berlin under ideal
exhibiting conditions.
